Have you ever just heard a song and thought “Wow?!” A song that can really transport you to another time or dimension? I love how music can take you to somewhere you’ve never really been except your mind and capture a moment or feeling.
One particular artist that’s really captured me is Ryan Farish. He knows that one song that helps you fade away into the background with it’s beautiful experience of notes, tones and intrinsic beats. His repertoire as a Grammy Award-Nominated Recording co-writer and co published boasts to 21 studio releases. Many of his showcases a portrayal of beauty through progressive trance and electronic music. To date, he has over 73 million YouTube views. Some his playing privileges include the Neon Carnival at Coachella as well as Audi featuring him in their Remarkable Audi series. He even has been featured on major television and motion pictures like Despicable Me 2.
Ryan’s music is one that I could listen to for hours. Songs that I enjoy listening to when I’m feeling as if I need to escape the world for a few minutes or just to get me in the mood for a concert! Ryan is known for his downtempo electronica, chillout, and uplifting dance music. His sound is a combination of anthemic melodies layered with organic downtempo grooves along with a collection of releases that infuse dance rhythms with uplifting themes. Ryan established his self-owned record label in 2008, RYTONE Entertainment, as a home to his own releases as well as those of other collaborative artists.
Ryan has collaborated with a variety of artists. In 2008, Ryan worked with multi-platinum recording artist Donna Lewis to release their first collaborative single "Dancing Angel". Lewis is widely known for her No.1 hit "I Love You, Always Forever" (Now in A Minute/Atlantic Records). He also co-wrote and co-published "Listen" for Trin-i-tee 5:7's album T57, which was awarded a GMA Dove Award and Grammy Award-Nominated Recording.

With such a big fan base, Ryan really pours out his dedication and passion into his music and shares it wholeheartedly.
In 2004, after many requests as to what genre Ryan Farish considered his music to be, Ryan coined the name "Positive Chillout" to be a reference to his unique brand of uplifting, Chillout electronic music. In November 2006, Ryan Farish published this title, on his owned/operated Live365 internet Radio Station, "Positive Chillout", as well as RyanFarish.com and PositiveChillout.com.
Throughout the 2000s and early 2010s, much of Farish's works were featured on The Weather Channel's Local on the 8s segments. The Live365 radio station was first created in November 2006 as “Positive Chillout”. In 2010, Ryan re-launched the show on DI.FM's (Digitally Imported) "Chillout Dreams" channel as “Positive Chillout with Ryan Farish”. The new show brought an emphasis on Electronic Chillout Music, which is considered positive and uplifting.
Personally just listening to his music for the past few days has already put me at ease with stresses of work and what life hands you. His music is one that I enjoy listening to in the car on my way to work, sipping morning coffee before the sun comes up or taking a calming bath. Ryan’s music is one to think of playing during Yoga class which several instructors that I’ve talked to have agreed to try!
So what are you waiting for? Listen to Ryan’s new music including this great video he released and let me know your thoughts on his music and when/where you’d listen to it! If you’re a yogi and want to incorporate his music, I think you should try it! Even if you’re just wanting to add it into your morning routine- I bet you’ll feel a sense of calming during your poses.
